It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from! This meme is hosted by Book Journey

This is my first time participating in this meme. I've been wanting to get into more memes lately so I'm trying out a few, see if I like them or not.

Last weeks reads (the link takes you to their Goodreads page):
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard.
I borrowed this one from the library and ended up  reading it really fast. Great book. I have a review up for it here

Hotter After Midnight by Cynthia Eden:
I read a great review for this a long long time ago so I got myself an ebook of it right after I read the review. I just now got to reading it (won't post a review, not the type of book I review on here). It was a pretty good book.

Hunger Games by Susan Collins (audiobook):
I listened to the audiobook of this. I'd tried listening to it a few times and only ever made it through the first chapter. I thought the ladies voice didn't fit Katniss and ugh. I dunno, I just didn't like it. Then my sister said to try again and I did, got further and I ended up really enjoying it. The lady changed her voice a little and it fit better.

What I'm reading now:
GIrl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake:
I'm loving this book so far, but I've been so busy lately I haven't really been able to sit down and enjoy it as much as I'd like it.

What I want to read this week:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I have this waiting for me at the library and just need to pick it up. Everyone is talking about how good it is so I'm excited to read it.

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry:
I've had a Netgalley of this for a while now and haven't been able to read it lately. I've been in the mood for paranormal and not contemporary. This will get read this upcoming week though.

  1. Good to see you here! I've been doing this meme for a few months. It's a nice way to share book reviews.

Here's my It's Monday! What Are You Reading? I hope you will stop by!

  2. Throne of Glass has been getting a lot of good buzz recently. I wish our library had the e-book.

  3. I hope you end up liking and sticking with this meme :) The only bad thing about it is that my tbr pile is INSANE now, lol

Have a great week of reading!

  4. I have Throne of Glass out from the library, too. I can't wait to start it.

BTW, I think this is a great meme. It's one of the two (Waiting on Wednesday is the other) that I make sure I do every week. I love seeing what I planned on reading and did read every week, and of course visiting everyone else.

  5. I've seen so many good things about Throne of Glass - hope you enjoy it. And I loved Hunger Games, but I read the print version.

  6. I didn't like the Hunger Games audiobook either and after I listened to it, I quickly read the other two.
I need to get Girl of Nightmares as Anna was great!

Thank you for linking up at Teach Mentor Texts (Kit Lit to YA version) #IMWAYR

    Happy reading this week! :)

  7. Currently reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Loving it - constantly leaves me salivating for more. Not a book I can easily put down :-) You'll enjoy it.

I love getting comments! I'm always checking to see if I have any new comments. It's actually pretty sad how often I check for them really. So if there is anything you want to say about a post of mine, please say it! I want feedback :)

As of lately, I'm making the blog a no-award blog. I love getting them and I'm always honored, but I don't have the time to do all the things that are required of them. Sorry :(
Also, my "reply" button does not seem to be working in my comments on my computer. I have to use a different computer to reply back so if I don't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's just that I can't.
