JK Rowlings new book

Has everyone seen this yet? Here is the synopsis for JK Rowlings new book The Casual Vacancy.

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.

This book sounds like it could be pretty good. It's definitely going to be for adults though. Barnes and Noble now has it for preorder for $21 (and that's after it being 40% off too. Spendy book this is going to be). It is going to be released Sept. 27, 2012.

JK Rowling is writing a new book

JK Rowling, the woman we all know and love to death for writing Harry Potter, announced that she is writing a new book for adults.

There have been loads of pranks on the internet in which people say JK is writing a new book, so I checked around on this first before posting this. It's actually true, she is writing a new book.

"'Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series,' Rowling said in a statement.

“'The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher.'
Publisher Little, Brown and Company, part of the Hachette Book Group, acquired the rights to publish the book, whose title and publication date will be announced later this year."

What does everyone think it's going to be about? I'm really hoping she sticks with the paranormal genre personally. Maybe write an urban fantasy?

JK Rowling has big news?

Did everyone see that in 6 days and 9 hours that JK Rowling will be announcing something big? I saw this on the Official Harry Potter movie page on facebook. Here is the youtube link with the countdown. OMG BIG NEWS

So what does everyone think the big news is? I have a few thoughts.
1) She is going to write more about Harry. She said in the Oprah interview that she has more story plots for him but never knew if she would write them.

2) She's writing a new series.

3) If she writes a new series, is it going to be based on the Harry Potter world? I think yes. Then will it be set in the past (maybe about the Order even though they all die) or will it be set in the future? Who will it be based on?

I'm personally hoping for the first option. I'm not ready to give up Harry (I never will be) but the upcoming release of THE FINAL FILM has me a little upset. I've been looking forward to this movie for 10 years and I just don't like the idea that there will be no more Harry Potter to look forward to, either in book form or movie.
