What it's about:
Ritually murdered corpses are appearing across Cincinnati, terrifying amalgams of human and other. Pulled in to help investigate by the FIB, former witch turned day-walking demon Rachel Morgan soon realizes a horrifying truth--a would-be creator is determined to make his (or her) own demons. But it can't be done without Rachel's blood, in this latest blockbuster by a "New York Times"-bestselling author.

My thoughts:
If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you might have figured out that I am a massive Kim Harrison fan. In my opinion, Kim can do nothing wrong when it comes to her books. I adore every page of her books.

APB has a very different feel than all the other books in the Hollows. Rachel has blocked out her ability to do ley line magic so she can hide from the demons. She has been "outed" and the world now knows that she is a demon. This leaves the mood of the book pretty somber. Rachel is finally growing up and facing reality! Out of all the books, this one definitely has the most character growth to it. It is also the darkest of all the books. We see a whole new side of life in Rachel's world. We learn a lot more about the humans and how they feel towards the inderlanders.

This is one of my all time favorite series, if not my favorite series (besides Harry Potter of course). I love how vivid the characters are. I feel like I personally know them because Kim describes them so well. And the world in which the characters live is just as well described. If I ever go to Cinci, I think I will be shocked to find out that there isn't a Hollows or the IS or FIB. I feel like this is a real place, that's how incredible Kim's writing is.

My rating: 10/10

  1. A Perfect Blood starts out with Rachel’s new life after her almost tragic demise. She has difficulty in getting a drivers license and proof that she not dead and still exists, in comes the I.S. offering to help in exchange for a job. As it turns out witches are being killed in horrific ways by an organization called HAPA, and if Rachel doesn’t catch them soon she may take the fall for the murders. While Rachel goes against all her friends and family’s wishes she takes the case she ends up getting kidnapped while she has the magic limiting bracelet on, that Trent made for her. Coming to terms with the fact that she needs her magic she has Trent take the bracelet off and in turn in dumbfounded and shocked by his willingness to help her against her enemies.

I love getting comments! I'm always checking to see if I have any new comments. It's actually pretty sad how often I check for them really. So if there is anything you want to say about a post of mine, please say it! I want feedback :)

As of lately, I'm making the blog a no-award blog. I love getting them and I'm always honored, but I don't have the time to do all the things that are required of them. Sorry :(
Also, my "reply" button does not seem to be working in my comments on my computer. I have to use a different computer to reply back so if I don't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's just that I can't.
