50% off books sale is dangerous

Borders has decided to test my self control and see if they could tempt me to come in and buy lots of books. First they gave me $10 in Borders bucks, then $5 in borders bucks, then an email with a 50% off anything coupon. Then to make it worse, the black friday adds came along and had a free coffee coupon and another 50% off coupon.

*Sigh* so I couldn't control my spending. I had to go buy lots of books. So in the last two weeks here are the books I've got.

*I Am Number Four by Patticus Lore
*Bloodthirsty by Flynn Meaney
*Enchanted Ivy by Beth Durst
*Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin
*and a certain book for a certain family member which can't be said on here cause that certain person reads my blog. haha.

And then two weeks ago, Suzanne Selfors sent me a copy of her new book, Mad Love. It has been a pretty good couple of weeks book wise for me!

Sadly I plan on buying more books cause I still have more coupons. Borders knows I have no self control when it comes to books.

  3. The only reason I didn't shop today was because of working. Black Friday + pay day wasn't a good sign. I so need to buy/read I Am # 4.

  5. I can't restrain myself when I've got a coupon in my hand, either. It doesn't even have to be a particularly good deal. Even the illusion that I'm saving money seems to be enough to get me to buy more books.

I have to learn to just say "no"! My TBR pile can't take any more...

  6. Oh my gosh I got those coupons too! It sounds like you got tons of awesome books! We all need to spoil ourselves every once in a while ;)

  7. I would also go crazy if am in a bookstore. always busrt my budget.

What worse is that there is a local book store that sells brand new remainder books at a friction of the original price.

  8. Hi! I'm a new follower. I know exactly what you mean. Every time I get a coupon for B&N, I feel that if I don't spend it, it will be wasting- (like wasting food only worse, you know?) so I always go and buy books-which of course is one of my fav. things to do :) Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Have a great weekend :)

  9. Hi there,
We Broads, Moira & Alexandria, over at Brazen Broads Book Bash also carted ourselves to the Borders to cash in those great coupons. I splurged on an Anita Diamant story I've been wanting for awhile and Ina Garten's new cookbook.
We would like to pass on an award to you and your blog that we received. It's a great way to notice new book blogs and also have your blog noticed by new readers! Stop by for all the details. Good luck!

I love getting comments! I'm always checking to see if I have any new comments. It's actually pretty sad how often I check for them really. So if there is anything you want to say about a post of mine, please say it! I want feedback :)

As of lately, I'm making the blog a no-award blog. I love getting them and I'm always honored, but I don't have the time to do all the things that are required of them. Sorry :(
Also, my "reply" button does not seem to be working in my comments on my computer. I have to use a different computer to reply back so if I don't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's just that I can't.
