My Book Boyfriend Wednesday

My book boyfriend is hosted by The Unread Reader

I was having a hard time thinking up someone to use for BBF that wasn't obvious, like Jace. So I'm going to be using Seth from the Georgina Kincaide series by Richelle Mead

Seth
He's a popular writer
Nerdy but adorable
The definition of a sweet guy
Has a pure soul
Incredibly understanding, almost to a fault
His writing is better than orgasms (whoa)
Fantastic in bed (haha had to add that one)

Who I imagine him looking like
I couldn't help but laugh the first time I saw a picture of John Green. He is exactly how I imagined Seth to look like. I had never even heard of John Green when I started reading this series.

If you had to describe how  you picture a writer to look, John Green is what I think most people would come up with.

Quotes
"Well, that depends, I suppose. I heard someone once say that men dance the same way they have sex. So, if you want everyone here to think you're the kind of guy who just sits around and—"

He stood up. "Let's dance." (Succubus Blues)

"Sometimes you wake up from a dream. Sometimes you wake up in a dream. And sometimes, every once in a while, you wake up in someone else's dream. " (I'm pretty sure he said this!)

(Talking about Seth's book)
"I figured I could read more than five pages tonight since I'd been deprived for the last couple of days. When I finished the fifteenth, I discovered I was three pages from the next chapter. Might as well end with a clean break. After I was done, I sighed and leaned back, feeling decadent and spent. Pure bliss. Books were a lot less messy than orgasms."

"It’s important to keep up appearances with books,” I explained. “Image goes a long way in this business.”

He dared a look over at me, still nervous but steadily recovering his composure. “I go more for content.”

"Really?” I repositioned slightly so that we were touching again, the soft flannel of his shirt brushing my bare skin. “Because I could have sworn a moment ago you were pretty caught up in outside appearance.”

His eyes shifted down again, but I could see a smile curving his lips. “Well. Some things are so striking, they can’t help but draw attention to themselves.”

"And doesn’t that make you curious about what’s inside?”

"Mostly it makes me want to get you some advanced copies.”

Advanced copies? What did he—?

"Seth? Seth, where—ah, there you are.” Paige turned down our aisle, Doug following behind. She brightened when she saw me, and I felt my stomach sink out of me and hit the floor with a thud as I put two and two together. No. No. It couldn’t be—

"Ah, Georgina. I see you’ve already met Seth Mortensen."

  6. John Green as Seth! That's so funny and yes, John is the perfect picture of a nerdy and adorable writer. Especially when he speaks!

And thanks for answering the quiz on my blog, your score wasn't that bad. No one's going to flunk you out of YA Reading 101, don't worry :D and yes, some of the covers were sort of the more 'unfamiliar' versions of that book.

I love getting comments! I'm always checking to see if I have any new comments. It's actually pretty sad how often I check for them really. So if there is anything you want to say about a post of mine, please say it! I want feedback :)

As of lately, I'm making the blog a no-award blog. I love getting them and I'm always honored, but I don't have the time to do all the things that are required of them. Sorry :(
Also, my "reply" button does not seem to be working in my comments on my computer. I have to use a different computer to reply back so if I don't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's just that I can't.
