Personally, I'm very disappointed in who they picked for both Peeta and Gale. I was hoping for Jeremey Sumpter as Peeta and Adam Gregory as Gale.

So I've been looking around at a lot of Hunger Games sites now that this news has been released. Some people are saying that Susanne herself got to pick out the cast. This almost never happens. The only other time I remember the author having an actual say in who played in her movies was JK Rowling and she still didn't have much say.
So in other words, does anyone know if Susanne actually got to pick out the cast? Cause I know she is writing the script. Maybe she does have a little more say in how her movie goes.

I'm a bit confused by the casting as well. I posted about it on my site. (As far as looks go, they got the guys backwards, IMO!)

These are actually both of the two out of the contenders that I wanted. I always thought Josh would be great with his hair dyed, and I think Liam looks SO much like my vision of Gale if they dye his hair darker.

P.S. I think Jeremy Sumpter is quite awesome and he deserves more roles. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not on board with Josh/Peeta. That's an awkward pick for me, but I guess Suzanne knows what she's doing since she...wrote the book...haha I'm just happy to watch Liam the whole time :)
ReplyDeleteHrm, yeah, I don't mind. I actually like Josh, he has that boyish look that I think Peeta needs :) He'll probably loo much better with his hair dyed. Liam is ok. I haven't seen him act in anything and physically he's kinda bland, so eh. I'm more upset they didn't choose the True Grit girl for Katniss!
