My book cover bookcase

For the last week or so I've been working on one of my bookcases. I decided to paint it because it was really ugly and who wouldn't want a really cool painted bookcase?

Left side. It's the paperback cover of Just One Wish by Janette Rallison. I don't know why my camera decided to turn the pink into a purple color, but it's really bright pink.

The top of the bookcase. It's the cover for Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater.

The right side of the bookcase. It's the cover for Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. I never realized that you can't really see her nose on the cover till I went to go paint it.

The inside of the bookcase. I collaged it with pages from a book that I got from the dollar store. I couldn't get myself to cover it with a book that I love.

So that's what I've been doing instead of reading for the last week. Now I get to finally finish my book!

  1. God that's awesome. While not a fan of Shiver, I think you did an amazing job with the bookcase. It's gorgeous!

  5. Those are really awesome shelves! I love what you did with them, what a fabulous idea! I'm definitely going to borrow this idea. I'll be scouring awesome book covers shortly!

And by the way, I do Shelf Saturday on my blog, where I feature other blogger/reader/writers' book shelves, and I really think your shelf would be a great feature for that. If you would like to have your shelf featured why not drop by and check it out :D

  9. I could easily recognize the cover for each novel without even having to see you tell it to us. The bookcases are so gorgeous... you have some amazing talent! :)

I love getting comments! I'm always checking to see if I have any new comments. It's actually pretty sad how often I check for them really. So if there is anything you want to say about a post of mine, please say it! I want feedback :)

As of lately, I'm making the blog a no-award blog. I love getting them and I'm always honored, but I don't have the time to do all the things that are required of them. Sorry :(
Also, my "reply" button does not seem to be working in my comments on my computer. I have to use a different computer to reply back so if I don't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's just that I can't.
